Materials & Care

Hand Wash or Use Delicate Cycle: To keep your Kunoji gear in top shape, handle it with care. Hand washing is best, but if you use a washing machine, choose the delicate cycle with cold water. For embroidered and printed items, turn them inside out to protect the designs.
Use Mild Detergent: Avoid harsh detergents, fabric softeners, and bleach, as they can damage the fabrics. Stick to mild detergent for gentle cleaning.
Air Dry: Skip the dryer after washing. Lay your Kunoji pieces flat or hang them to air dry. Keep them out of direct sunlight to prevent fading.
Store Carefully: To maintain the shape, fold your Kunoji items neatly and store them in a drawer or on a hanger. Keep them away from direct sunlight and humidity.
Don't forget to Iron: Many Kunoji items, especially those made from cotton and linen, tend to wrinkle. Iron on the flip side using low heat. For embroidered and printed items, iron inside out with a cloth between the iron and fabric to protect the designs.

Design

Kamome means seagull in Japanese, after the collar: two flat, pointed wings that fold open over a deep V. A soft, warm knit with a fine waffle texture makes it a polo you can wear through autumn and winter.

Description

The seagull collar

The collar is flat and smooth, finer than the body knit, with long pointed tips that fold open over a deep V. There are no buttons: the placket is finished with a narrow band that meets in a point at the base.

Warm, textured knit

The knit is soft and medium-weight, with fine vertical ribs crossed by small bars for a subtle waffle grid. It is matte, holds warmth, and has enough stretch to move with you.

A relaxed shape

Dropped shoulders and a straight, slightly boxy body give an easy fit. Fine ribbed cuffs sit snug at the wrist, and a ribbed hem band finishes it at the hip.
