The embroidery
Two koi chase each other in a circle across the back, one dark, one red and white. Around them: gold clouds, flowers and curls of water. Every part is embroidered, so the design has texture and depth; the thread catches the light differently as you move.
Why the fabric weight matters
Heavy embroidery on a thin tee puckers the fabric around it. Mizuki uses a 230g cotton, which is substantial enough to hold the design flat.
Fit
Chest runs from 97cm on the smallest size, measured round: a straight, fairly regular fit. Go one size up if you want it loose.
Wearing it
The design is on the back, so this is a shirt for when the jacket comes off. Plain trousers and a clean shoe; let the back do the work.
