No. The crinkle is woven into the cloth, so it is meant to look that way. Wash it, shake it out and hang it to dry.

Is the Shiwa polo cool in hot weather?

Yes. The puckered surface holds the cloth off your skin so air moves underneath, and the fabric is breathable and quick-dry.

It is cut relaxed and boxy with a dropped shoulder, and there is no stretch. Use the weight column in the size chart to pick. On our 180cm, 70kg fit model the fit is close, so size up for a looser drape.

With snaps on a short placket instead of buttons. They are quick to open and sit flat.

How do I wear the Shiwa?

Untucked, over shorts or light trousers. The side slits let the hem move when you walk.

Materials & Care

Hand Wash or Use Delicate Cycle: To keep your Kunoji gear in top shape, handle it with care. Hand washing is best, but if you use a washing machine, choose the delicate cycle with cold water. For embroidered and printed items, turn them inside out to protect the designs.
Use Mild Detergent: Avoid harsh detergents, fabric softeners, and bleach, as they can damage the fabrics. Stick to mild detergent for gentle cleaning.
Air Dry: Skip the dryer after washing. Lay your Kunoji pieces flat or hang them to air dry. Keep them out of direct sunlight to prevent fading.
Store Carefully: To maintain the shape, fold your Kunoji items neatly and store them in a drawer or on a hanger. Keep them away from direct sunlight and humidity.
Don't forget to Iron: Many Kunoji items, especially those made from cotton and linen, tend to wrinkle. Iron on the flip side using low heat. For embroidered and printed items, iron inside out with a cloth between the iron and fabric to protect the designs.
