A work jacket with a quiet front
Most work jackets are built around hardware: big buttons, snaps, chest flaps. The Shokunin keeps the front calm. A low stand collar replaces the lapel, and the closure is a full-length zip with five fabric frog knots laid over it, so the line from collar to hem stays clean.
Zip and frog knots
The zip has an antique brass pull and does the everyday work. The frog knots are loops of the same cloth passing over small knotted buttons, one on the collar and four down the front. They are the detail that makes it read as more than a chore coat, and you can wear them done or undone.
Washed to look worn
The cloth is washed and garment-dyed. That softens the colour along the seams, gives a matte surface with natural creasing and takes away the stiffness of new workwear. It is medium thick with no stretch.
Pockets, cuffs and fit
One welt pocket sits on the left chest and two slanted welt pockets at the hip. The cuffs close with a single button and the back has a horizontal yoke seam. The cut is loose and straight with a dropped shoulder, falling to the hip. Use the Fits (kg) column in the size chart to choose.
Colours and sizes
Burgundy is a washed brick red, Black is the easiest to style and Olive is the classic work colour. Sizes run S (US) M (JP) to 4XL (US) 5XL (JP).
Care and returns
Wash with a neutral detergent, by hand where you can, with no bleach. Dry in the shade and wash apart from light colours. You have 14 days to return it; the return label is paid by the customer and refunds go to the original payment method.
