Design

Yuru means loose. These are cut wide through the hips and thighs, then pulled in toward the ankle, so the volume sits where you want it and the leg still ends cleanly. A horizontal seam across the thigh and a small slit at the ankle do the rest.

Description

Harem pants fail in two ways: too much volume with no shape, or a taper so tight the volume looks accidental. The Yuru keeps the room through the hips and thighs and then pulls the leg in toward the ankle, so the width has an end point and the trouser reads as cut, not just big.

The front panel is broken up on purpose. A horizontal seam crosses each thigh and vertical seams run down the outer front leg, all topstitched in a matching tone. At the center front a stitched faux-fly keeps the line flat and clean. Two side pockets sit at the hips.

The cloth is matte and smooth with a soft drape, medium weight and medium stretch. It falls rather than stands, which is what a loose cut needs. The hem is a plain turned hem with a small slit at the outer ankle, and the fabric stacks slightly above it. The white pair shown also carries a small black embroidered motif on the outer lower left calf.

Loose above, tapered below

The Yuru is cut wide through the hips and thighs, with a slightly dropped crotch, and narrows toward the ankle. The result is a trouser with plenty of room that still finishes at the shoe. The mid rise keeps the waist where a normal trouser would sit, so the extra volume is in the leg and not at the waist.

Because the leg tapers and the pant is full length, the cloth gathers a little above the ankle. That stack is part of the shape. A small vertical slit at the outer ankle lets the hem open slightly instead of gripping the leg.

The seams, and what they change

A horizontal piecing seam crosses the front of each thigh, and vertical seam lines run down the outer front leg. On a trouser this wide they stop the front from reading as one flat sheet. A stitched faux-fly with tonal topstitching runs down the center front. The maker lists a zip closure, and the waistband is hidden under the top in our photos.

Two side pockets sit at the hips, where a hand falls naturally on a loose cut.

Cloth and stretch

The fabric is matte and smooth with a soft handle. It is medium weight with medium stretch, and it drapes instead of holding a stiff shape. That makes it a spring-weight trouser. The listing does not describe a fleece-lined or summer-thin version, so this is neither of those.

Choosing a size

Sizes are M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL, 4XL and 5XL. We have not listed garment measurements for this pair yet, so we cannot give a waist, rise or inseam. The loose cut and the medium stretch widen the range each size covers. If you are between sizes, the looser cut is the reason to take the smaller one. If the fit is off, you have 14 days to return them. The return label is paid by the customer, and the refund goes to the original payment method.

Colors

  • **White:** shows the seam lines and, on the pair photographed, the small black embroidered motif on the outer lower left calf.
  • **Black and Navy:** the easiest to wear daily.
  • **Brown, Khaki and Grey:** softer, earthier options for spring.

The embroidery is confirmed only on the white pair shown. The other colors are listed as solid colors.

Who they suit, and who they do not

They suit anyone who wants a relaxed, loose trouser that still ends cleanly at the ankle, and who wears it with a simple top and low shoes. They are not for anyone who wants a slim or straight-leg trouser, a clean uninterrupted ankle line, or a pair with published measurements to check before ordering.

Styling

Let the trousers carry the volume. A fitted or cropped tee, or a plain shirt, balances them. A second oversized layer on top will hide the taper that gives the pair its shape. Low shoes show the stacked ankle.

Returns

The return window is 14 days. The return label is paid by the customer, and refunds go to the original payment method.

Answers

Questions, answered

What are the Yuru harem pants?

A loose, full-length men's trouser with a slightly dropped crotch. They are wide through the hips and thighs and taper toward the ankle, so the fabric stacks a little above the hem instead of hanging straight. The side pockets sit at the hips, and a small slit at the outer ankle opens the hem.

Which size should I order?

The sizes are M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL, 4XL and 5XL. We have not listed garment measurements for this pair yet, so we cannot give you a waist or inseam to check against. The cut is loose and the cloth has medium stretch, which makes the fit forgiving. If your usual size sits between two, the looser cut is the reason to pick the smaller one. If they do not work, the return window is 14 days. The return label is paid by the customer, and refunds go to the original payment method.

What is the fabric like?

Matte and smooth, with a soft handle and a natural drape rather than a stiff, structured fall. It is a medium weight with medium stretch. It is a spring-weight trouser, not a fleece-lined or summer-thin one.

How do they fasten?

The maker lists a zip closure. At the center front there is a stitched faux-fly with tonal topstitching, which gives the front a flat, clean panel. The waistband sits under your top in our photos, so it is not visible in them.

How long are they, and what happens at the ankle?

Full length. The leg tapers toward the ankle and the fabric stacks slightly above the hem. The hem is a plain turned hem with a small vertical slit at the outer ankle. The slit lets the hem open a little over a shoe.

What do the seams do?

A horizontal seam crosses the front of each thigh, and vertical seam lines run down the outer front leg. They break up the wide front panel so the volume reads as shaped rather than shapeless. All seams are topstitched in a matching tone.

Is there embroidery?

The white pair shown has a small black embroidered motif on the outer lower left calf. The other colors are listed as solid colors, and we have not confirmed whether the motif appears on them.

Which color should I choose?

White, Black, Brown, Khaki, Grey and Navy are available. Black and Navy are the easiest to wear day to day. White, with its small black embroidery, shows the seam lines and the motif most clearly. Khaki, Brown and Grey sit between the two.

What do I wear them with?

Keep the top simple and let the trouser carry the volume. A fitted or cropped tee or a plain shirt works well, with low shoes that show the stacked ankle. A top that is also very wide will bury the shape.
